Join us for a gentle Sunday of basket weaving, taught by multidisciplinary artist and educator Christine Sciortino. In this beginner-friendly workshop, participants will learn the basic techniques of basket weaving using rattan reed. At the end of the day, each person will go home with their very own fully-completed Market Tote, a beautiful utilitarian bag that is perfect for any outing. (See photos below.)
Tote details:
Measures roughly 11" tall, 10" across, 16" long.
Made from hand-dyed rattan reed.
Strap made from cotton webbing.
Multiple color options will be available for both the rattan and cotton strap, so participants can design their own basket.
Class will be held at Dear Native Grapes' winery space from 10am-4:30pm. Ticket price is $150/pp, which includes all the materials to create your basket, lunch and a glass of wine. (Additional wine, beverages and snacks are available for purchase on-site.)
